I was going to write this whole interesting ramble for Matt to read here, just so it made his job a little less boring when it came to marking. Then I realised I can’t make this any less boring, really.
Blogger-
I tend to find blogs quite clunky and unintuitive to be honest, but oh well. I added a couple of feeds on the side of my blog page, my flickr feed and counters on the other side, the usual. Oh, and the page layout is designed to match my website perfectly, so that it looks amazing when viewed there. I’ve made a total of 17 posts. Didn’t really learn a whole lot, because I’ve had several blogs before and I’m very tech savvy already. Still, nice to have a refresher.
Flickr-
Flickr’s always useful. I have one outside of this assessment as well and I love it. It’s an easy way to share your images, or just back them up for safekeeping. Can’t say I’ve done much here, because Flickr’s not exactly customisable. I’ve added 16 images to my Flickr.
Delicious-
Wow, this is outdated tech in my opinion. My browser integrates rss feeds and bookmarks directly into the sidebar, eliminating the need to even open tabs for my favourite feeds and sites. I have tried to use it, and I can use it, I just really DON’T want to. I’ve got 12 whole bookmarks in there, but really that’s just for the sake of assessment. All I’ve really learned is that it’s not a useful website to me.
HTML/Webspace-
Useful as a refresher for HTML and CSS scripting, but yeah. I already did all of this stuff years back. iWeb is quite possibly the worst program for making websites, thanks to its inability to let you modify most aspects of it. But, I will admit, it makes life easy for those who just want to make a quick website for their friends and family. As I said before, I relearned some of the stuff I already knew about HTML and CSS, so overall not a total waste.
Still, it’s been fun. Thanks Matt.

My favourite things.
You know what one of my all-time hated things is?
Pulling all-nighters and not getting anything accomplished.
You know what one of my all-time most loved things is?
Pulling all-nighters and not getting anything accomplished, but doing so with eight awesome friends.

wat.
So, apparently now Australians (more specifically Victorians) are going to be fined for obnoxious swearing. I... I just don't understand how this can go through.
Protip: It's a violation of rights provided by the U.N. to all human beings, in the form of freedom of expression. You can't fine people for that!

New photos have been posted!
Yes, another photography assessment has come and gone. Enjoy the fruits of my labor right here.
This one was about the Protean Self. Deep stuff, man. Although, I got a new profile picture out of it!

Assessments!
Holy Jesus, this is retarded.
-Had an assessment today
-MPI due tomorrow
-PHT due Monday
-Exam on Wednesday
Where am I supposed to find time to sleep? :( I almost missed my assessment today because I had been up for almost four days! The worst bit is, I'm one of the more organised students in my course...

Assessment #2 Blog Post
So, my website is now complete. It's a very basic website, but frankly, that's all iWeb is capable of.
I'm using it as more of a muck around space than anything. This is evident in the various changes I have made to it, as detailed below.
I created a logo for my site, to add a personal touch to it. I then created a navigation bar that fit in with the theme a little better. This wasn't so much tough as it was tedious. I also managed to hide all the old nav bars, as iWeb won't actually let you remove them. Go me.
I decided to use my Google Adsense account as well, just for some extra functionality. At the bottom of each page is an advertisement, just for that real web experience.
The first page is used as a News/Home page, which can be updated easily when there is new news to report. Nothing major here,
On the "About" page, I've put up detailed information about myself, and why the website is the way it is. I messed around with the way that things were organised a little bit, and I changed the way that images were displayed.
On the "Photography" page, I've uploaded about 11 photographs of my previous works, to use as a basic portfolio until the time comes for better images. I modified the way the gallery worked, and tweaked it to display three images each, across any amount of pages. This helps to keep page sizes down, and add a touch of flair.
The "Blog" page... Oh, the blog page. I didn't like the idea of using the iWeb blog, because frankly, I didn't want to have to post everything twice. I decided instead to use a blank page, and load it with an iframe of my blog. I then used iWeb's limitations to my advantage, by hiding a large amount of the iframe behind the edges, leaving a very clean looking blog integration. I then changed my blog's background to match my website's, and voila. Pretty clever, yes?
Then, just for fun I added the "Beard" page. This is all about an upcoming event, but you can read that for yourself. I made the image link directly to the Pirates of the Caribbean homepage, and positioned a countdown timer to look as though it were integrated into the poster itself.
After all this, I was a bit bored, so I decided to add random quotes to almost every page. Some of them are dark, but they're all interesting to me.
Anyway, in case you missed it, here's a link to my website.

New developments!
So, I've been working hard this past week.
First off, more assessments happened. The photos for that will be uploaded to my flickr soon.
Secondly, I realised I needed iWeb, but couldn't actually spend all my time at the uni. As such, I've managed to build myself a wonderful Hackintosh. Huzzah.
Aaaand that's about it for now. Here, have a youtube video. It's got a unicorn in it. That, and Freddie W is amazing.

HTML~
So, we learned all about basic HTML in the last class. That stuff that I worked on in years 9 and 10 of high school.
Nice as a refresher, but... Eh. I was a little more interested in the CSS side of things, because that's something I'm not quite used to yet.

Heart attacks.
Jesus Christ, Blogger just scared me.
My blog was deleted from Blogger, and all activity was suspended. It hated me with a passion.
All fixed, though. Huzzah, I'm a genius.

Assessment 1 Blog Post
Here we are, at assessment #1.
During these past six weeks, I've done a fair bit in the way of aesthetics for this blog. I changed the colour schemes, fonts, design and layout of the page significantly. I am also in the process of making a new logo. I think the colours match quite well, in terms of orange on grey, giving it a look that is easy on the eyes.
In terms of gadgets, I added a flickr photostream, and the “more links” box. Nothing major. This post here will make six posts total, but I’m going to start increasing that anyway as part of a makeshift portfolio.
I have two non-class related posts here, one has an amazing piece of music, the other rants about how I hate blogger.
Oh Snap!
Wow.
I’ve used some basic tags/labels in my posts, such as mpi104_2011, flickr, delicious, and procrastination.
I’ve made a couple of blog comments on other people’s sites:
First post
Second post
I have a total of six bookmarked pages on Delicious. These follow gaming, mostly. A gaming news page, and a gaming comic.
LoL News
Awkward Zombie Comic
Totally my favourite master blog
Finally, I have my Flickr account. On it, I’ve uploaded a total of five photos, all from assessments or for other people’s assessments. They can all be found here in this set:
My photo stream!
I know I was supposed to link to three, but I can't choose three out of them. I like all my works.
Apart from that, there’s not really much to say. It’s been a good learning experience, and I can’t wait to get into making a website more thoroughly.

So, Blogger's amazing at a few things:
-Erroring
-Deleting my posts
-Hating me
I had a whole sleepless rant typed up, but nooooo. Now you get a list of hates. I'll update in a little while.

A new Flickr experience.
So, I've had to make a new Flickr account just for this class. "It's cool, even though I haven't used it much yet" was suggested as a blog post.
I've had an account for several years. Derp. Flickr's amazing, but I already knew that.
Here's a link to my first post up on the new Flickr account.

Oh snap
So, I've spent a large portion of this week looking for a specific piece of code to make my blog amazing.
Unfortunately, that hasn't been easy to find. By next week's class, I hope to have this thing looking sexy.
Also, embedding is fun:
Hania Lee deserves more publicity.
